A New World Record!!
As part of Sheffield's Peace in the Park celebrations, charity Self Help Africa organised the bid to break the record for the greatest number of parents reading to children at one time.
We beat the existing record by miles! In all, we had 281 adults, reading to 346 children! That's 26 more adults and 35 more children than the previous record!
I was invited to be an adjudicator, along with other local authors. The day was great fun and hopeful the event will have raised lots of money for this very worthy charity. To find out more, visit www.selfhelpafrica.com
